One of the leading enterprises of Ukraine, producing products of electrical engineering. The main products of the plant are mainline electric locomotives of direct and alternating current, industrial electric locomotives used in open pit mining, mining contact electric locomotives for mining and coal industry, tram rolling stock, freight cars, tank cars, self-loading cars, wagons workshop cars, specialized components for railway or tram locomotives and rolling stock, seats for railway cars. The company also carries out major repairs and reconstruction of locomotives and railway cars.

Description

JSC “Dnipro Electric Locomotive Plant” (JSC “DEVZ”) is a basic enterprise for the production of mainline and industrial continuous-current and alternating current locomotives. The mainline continuous-current locomotives DE1 (40 units) and mainline alternating current locomotives DS3 (18 units) were designed and manufactured at the enterprise.

Land plots:

30.8056 ha is in permanent use, used to accommodate the production complex.
0.3020 ha is used to accommodate the hostel.
8.5 hectares are leased, used to accommodate the recreation center.

Structurally JSC “DEVZ” consists of 7 workshops of the main production (united in 4 production complexes):

  • foundry;
  • blacksmith workshop;
  • metalwork shop;
  • мachining workshop;
  • workshop of Electric machines;
  • electrical workshop;
  • electric locomotive workshop.

There are departments of the chief designer and the chief technologist to support the production. There is also a certified factory laboratory.

The company has a full cycle of assembly of auxiliary machines of direct current, formation of wheel pairs and assembly of electric locomotives. There are sections of electroplating, production of rubber technical products and painting coating.

To supply energy, the company has a 150/6 kV electrical substation, a central compressor station, a 2.4 / 0.4 kgf / cm2 gas distribution point, and a boiler house.

The company is equipped with highly qualified specialists and production equipment that needs minor repairs and modernization. As of January 1, 2020, the company has 555 employees. The engineering and design staff consists of 90 employees.
